We invite you to join National Council of Jewish Women on Monday, June 24 from 1–1:30 pm ET / 10–10:30 am PT to pause on the anniversary of the fall of Roe to honor those who lost access to abortion within the last two years, those who never had access even before Roe fell, and those who have endured inequities and injustice as they seek reproductive care. In Judaism, it is customary to mark time together, as we mourn, remember, and honor all that has been lost. We will join together as a community virtually to honor this moment.

If you are so moved, we welcome you to light a candle with us during the virtual event. Please have one available and join us from a place you will be able to safely light a candle.

We hope you will amplify this to your entire community and that you will all join us as NCJW marks all that our country has lost over the past two years.

This event will be recorded. Please register to receive the recording after the event.

Get the Remembering Roe Ritual Guide

This guide provides Jewish ritual context to remember and honor lives lost due to abortion bans. Included are basic scripts, resources, and suggestions. Whether you join the virtual candle-lighting event or remember Roe on your own, these rituals can be used and adapted to whatever feels most appropriate to your community or setting.
